Ties Ties Ties

I had a request to make some Hawaiian ties for one of the missionaries in our church. I don't know what happened to the tie pattern that I used before so I had to draft up my own pattern. It took three attempts before I got it just right. This pattern is a keeper for sure.

There's not a lot of Hawaiian prints around so I bought this one at Joann's. I love the bright prints on the black background.

This olive print I've had in my stash for many years. It's a rayon polyester blend and has a silky feel to it. I had originally bought this fabric to make a shirt for hubby but never got around to it so I used it to make two ties.

This black and teal print is from Michael Miller. I still have plenty of this fabric left when I closed the shop. It is not a Hawaiian print but it's one that I used to make a sample to see if my tie pattern would turn out and it did. I also made two of these so one goes in hubby's closet and one for the auction.

These ties were quick and fun to make. I love projects like this these days. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Sweet looking ties! I'm sure that missionary will love them. I need to make some for my grandsons, but I'm not sure I'm that brave to try it. :O)
