Monthly Goals Update

This month my goal for AYOLF  and FAL was to quilt and bind this flannel quilt. It's been raining since yesterday so I couldn't go outside to take a picture. I had to lay the quilt onto a white sheet for these photos and the sheet was not big enough. I might re-take the photos when the rain lets up.
I sketched this pattern out to make this quilt. I don't have a name for it yet. I am sure I will as soon as the pattern is finished.

Aurifil February BOM

February, where did you go? It's the end of the month tomorrow and I still have some projects I would like to finish. I really don't want to get behind on the BOMs that I am participating in this year. This is Aurifil's February BOM called Mother's Day. I pulled out my stash of purple fabrics and started prepping the pieces yesterday.

Good Night Irene February's Blocks

Happy Monday! This is the last week for me to get my sewing projects done for the month. I've been so busy that it was hard to try and squeeze everything in. I finally have a little bit of time to work on my Good Night Irene blocks.

Strip Savvy Quilt Along

Recently I won a book from the Fat Quarter Shop called Strip Savvy by Kate Henderson. When I received this book I couldn't believe the beautiful quilts that are in it. The patterns are amazing and the photography is gorgeous. I can see so many possibilities to use up my scraps even though this is a 2 1/2" strip book.
As I looked through this book, I thought of how nice it would be to have you all join me in a quilt along using patterns from this book. If you don't have this book, I highly recommend you buy it. The Fat Quarter Shop has them on sale right now.

Win Fabric For Life

Eric contacted me recently to let me know that Keepsake Quilting is have a giveaway going on right now. You could win fabric for life. How does that sound. Click here to enter. You can enter once everyday.

Indian Summer Wallhanging

I don't recall sharing this Indian Summer Wallhanging before. This was my sample pattern before I submitted it to the Moda Bake Shop. I was able to take a photo of this wallhanging when hubby and I went out to get some new pictures of my quilts I was wanting to sell.

Off to the Quilter

I've been trying to squeeze in some sewing time for me and this is all that I was able to do last week. I pieced the backing for this Leftover quilt that was done 4 years ago. Boy how time flies.
About two weeks ago I entered a fabric and free machine quilting giveaway and won. Thanks to Sue's generosity I am going to get this huge queen size scrap quilt quilted by her. I was procrastinating on getting this quilted with my home machine and I am so so happy I don't have to do it.
This is a Cozy Quilts pattern called Leftover. It's a perfect pattern for scraps.

Time To Let Go...

It is time to let go of these quilts. I need room for larger quilts. These quilts have been made and lovingly stored away in my linen cabinet. These have all been machine quilted. Some have been pre-washed then stored away. Please e-mail me at lilypatchquilts at yahoo dot com or leave a comment if you would like to buy these. They need a good home.

Open Air Market

Last weekend DD was wanting to go to an Open Air Market nearby so off we went. This market is fairly new, but there was entertainment and some vendors that caught my eye. These handmade organic lotions smell so good and feels wonderful on my hand. We bought some to take home.

Think Ruffles Blog Hop

I love ruffles! They make everything so pretty so I couldn't help myself when Madame Samm and Amy announced a ruffles blog hop. I have some things I would like to make that includes ruffles. I am working out some of the details and am going to get started sewing them soon, that way it's already to share during the hop.

Sweet Dreams Quilt Tutorial

I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend. I have been so busy with our son's fundraiser and sewing obligations that I haven't been able to get a lot of things done and that includes fun sewing.

AYOLF February Goal Setting

It's time to set my goals for February. Last month I was able to finish my quilt so this month for AYOLF's goal setting party, I am going to quilt and bind this flannel quilt.

I had this quilt top completed last year but didn't get around to quilting it. I am just going to a simple quilting pattern and bind this by machine. It will probably get a lot of use so this way the quilt will last for a long time.
