AYOLF Sweet Dreams Finish

I don't know what happened to my original post for my AYOLF finish. It has disappeared completely so I am reposting it again in a shorter version. Ugh...
My goal this month was to finish my Sweet Dreams quilt. I was really motivated to finish it once I set my mind to it. I started auditioning fabrics to see what I would like for the border and sashing.

I went with Kona Cotton white and a green Christmas print. I was able to put it together fairly quickly. The only thing holding me up after I finished the quilt top was deciding on the quilting.

I went with an all over loops with stars and snowflakes since the blocks have both in there. I also pieced the backing with various red Christmas prints so I could use up some of my stash.

When the quilt was quilted and bound, I took it out for a photoshoot when we went out for the day. I thought this spot was good because I got help from hubby to hold it on the railing and it was nice and shady.

I am linking up with Melissa and Shanna for this month's AYOLF
