Art Quilts Etc...

Over Thanksgiving weekend we ventured out into the country for a good old fashion Christmas tree lighting ceremony. We went into one of the shops, which I can't remember the name of to look around. The shop had a lot of vintage items for sale and some quilts too. This quilt is about 18" square. I love the bold and bright fabrics used in this quilt.

There's a bunch of antique thimbles which looks like so much fun with these birds and floral designs on them.

Then there are these metal thimbles. They look pretty old which goes perfectly with the pocket watches.

Here's another art quilt. I love the pretty color combo and appliqu├ęd details on this quilt.

There's a bunch of these fabric bowls that comes in various color ways. I love looking at all these fun handmade products. It's very inspiring.

Here's the famous Julian Hotel. Word has it that the hotel is haunted. I would have loved to take a walk inside, but it's only for registered hotel guests only. Maybe someday, I will have to stay there for the weekend so I can take a look around. This little country town is full of charm and fun shops to venture into.

Well, I am itching to knock off some more UFOs so stay tuned. I really would like to finish a couple more before the month's over.
