Pretty Pouch Swap

The Pretty Pouch Swap was so much fun! We had an awesome group of ladies that joined us. Their swap items were beautiful and the treats that went into the pouches were fantastic! You can check out what they made on Pinterest and here using the linky tool.

My partner was Lin from France. Lin loves purple/magenta fabrics so for her goodies I included some purple fat quarters, a set of handstamped cards, postcards, keychain, sweet treats and last are some packets of various lemonade flavored Kool-Aid. We had a German exchange student stay with us a while back and she said they don't sell Kool-Aid there so I am thinking they don't sell it in France either. Thought I would include it for her to try.

This is the pouch I made for Lin using all batik fabrics. I sat down and designed this pattern for her pouch. I did minimal quilting to outline all the triangles

This is a pretty nice size pouch. Will fit quite a bit of knick knacks/cosmetics/tech gadgets in it.

This pouch was the first one I designed. It didn't turn out as I had planned. It's been quite a while since I've made any bags or accessories so I was a bit rusty. I still loved it but since I had a different idea in mind for Lin, I had to whip up another one.

So, what do you all think I should do with this one? It's sitting all by it's lonesome self on my sewing table.

Here's my package from Lin. Love the beautiful fabrics and the lace accent. The French lavender smells amazing! I love everything that came with my pouch. Thanks for an awesome package Lin!

Anywho, I would like to thank everyone for taking a leap and joining me with this swap. This was my first one hosting and it was a blast!

You should definitely host another swap Kim. It was my first swap and so much fun! Thank you for teaming me up with a great partner. I'm definitely up for another :-) I love the pouch you designed first the quilting creates an optical illusion making the straight triangles look rounded - what about randomly picking one of the swap participants to send it to as a treat.
