Here's a little update on my star quilt. Please pardon the picture. I was too lazy to pull out my camera so I grabbed my phone instead. The quilt top is all put together. I need a large hard surface to baste the quilt together so I can machine quilt it. This is a dilemma for me when it comes to large quilts because our home has carpeting throughout so it's really not ideal for prepping a quilt. I might get desperate and have DH make a portable surface for me. I am going to have to think on that.
BTW...This quilt doesn't have a name so let's call it Memory Lane. I can't keep referring to it as a star quilt. It' needs a proper name so Memory Lane it is.
Edit: I forgot to include that finishing the quilt top is my ALYOF goal. Now onto getting it quilted and bound.
Happy Stitching!

This is so pretty! What a sweet, peaceful quilt. It must be nice to quilt on.
Pretty quilt!
It is a beautiful quilt and memory lane is a great name for it.
It is beautiful! When I lived in a house with carpeting, I used to just pin all three layers to the carpet at the corners, and then move my cutting mat around underneath so I could pin baste the layers without pinning to the carpet itself. When I was done basting all three layers I would unpin it from the corners. Worked really well! Good luck!
