Happy Friday! I hope you're having a blast hopping around to check out all the Nancy Drew projects this week. When the Nancy Drew movie came out we all went to see it. Our girls kept wanting to watch it over and over. It's a pretty fun movie that the whole family can enjoy. I am so happy to be a part of this blog hop.
A BIG thank you to Madame Samm and Carol for putting this blog hop together! What a fun hop it has been.
Today is my turn to share with you my Nancy Drew project. I was thinking about making something quilty, but then my little one asked for an iPad case so that's what I made. I wanted to use as many prints as I can on this iPad case because the prints are so fun to use.
I still have alot of charm squares left so I made a camera strap cover for my camera. I made a lens pocket to store my lens cap.
This was my first one. I thought I measured everything just right, then after putting the strips together it seemed a bit long. I then cut it and finished the strap. I put it on and it was 1/2" shorter than I thought. I actually cut the 1/2" off that I needed. Goes to show you, I should have trusted my first measurement. Now I have to decide what to do with this extra one. I'll probably sell it or something.
Now it's time to go and check out all the ladies in the line up today.

What cute (and useful) projects! A camera strap is definitely on my list.
This sounds like something that would have happened to me with the measuring on the camera strap. It sure looks like the perfect project for a Nancy Drew fabric though!

I really like the way you used the fabrics, especially on the ipad case. The triangles showcase just enough of the pattern to make it intriguing. Your little one is fortunate to have such a creative and generous mom!

Necessity is the mother of invention, right? I bet your daughter was thrilled with the ipad cover, custom made by mom!
Nice projects. I almost didn't see them because I didn't think you had your post up. Then I saw the "read more" and clicked on it, but it was hard to see that and I wonder if others missed clicking there?
I like the Ipad case. Very nice.
Great projects, thanks for sharing.

Great Ipad cover. you did manage to incorporate a heck of a lot of patterns into it. Very Fun.

What a great idea! an IPad case. I liked the strap cover too. Thanks for being part of the hop.
thanks for sharing your projects with us! Love them all.
Thank you for the wonderful ideas. I really like how you added a lens cap pocket to your strap. A lost lens cap is not something we like. I'm sorry you had a struggle with your measurement. I'm sure someone will be glad to have the shorter strap. Some of us are vertically challenged and need shorter items. Thanks for participating and being a great inspiration.
Two very cute projects. Doesn't that just frost you when you do something ridiculous like making that adjustment and then finding out you should have left it alone! Glad to know I'm not the only one to mess up! :)
Very cool IPad case.... Know my Daughter would loooove the camera strap best tho!! (she is a camera "nut"! lol)
Very cute projects. So nice the idee off the camera strap.
Love your ides! I hate that whole measuring thing. :) blessings, marlene
