Christmas Through the Year Link Up

Happy Tuesday! It's time to link up your CTTY project (s) for this month. I was trying to get some time in to finish more than this mini quilt but too many other things required my attention. I am glad I got this done though. When I did my Starburst wallhanging, I had some leftover fabrics enough to make this mini quilt.

Last month I contacted Aurifil to see if they would sponsor this month's CTTY and Alex Veronelli was  so generous in the prize package he gave me to giveaway.

Not only that but he also sent along a small thread package and thread charts for me to play with. I've never used this thread before and let me tell you, it is a dream to sew with. I am definitely converted.

Are you ready for this? Drum roll......
Here's the prize Alex sent me to give away to one lucky participant this month. This is a large 12 spool thread collection of Jill Finley's Everyday Colors (value $120.00). I can't promise you that there will be a prize each month but it's going to be great to be able to get ahead of Christmas this year.

BTW...you can follow Alex and Aurifil on Facebook for their latest updates and inspiring projects using Aurifil thread.

No Reply Blogger: Dear Readers, I would love to be able to respond to your questions/comments, but can't because you're a no-reply blogger. If you go into your blogger profile, there is a setting for you to be able to add your e-mail address so I can contact you.
If you win the drawing for CTTY and I can't contact you, I have to draw a new name, so please change your setting so you don't miss out.

Linking up: Help spread the word by grabbing the CTTY button on my sidebar and place it on your blog linking it back to mine. Thanks :-)

This is Beth's pillow. She does not have a blog so I have included her beautiful pillow on this post. If you don't have a blog, e-mail me your name and photo, I will do the same for you.

Seeing things "Through 2013" will give many of us ideas what additional things we can make as gifts.
Thank you for hosting this fun event!

I just love this thread. I tried it and am hooked. This last year I had a spurt of energy and made several handmade gifts. This set of quilted bags I made after the gift giving thinking it was for myself but it might be a gift for Valentine's day instead. I have a tutorial on my blog if you want to see how I did them.

All I finished was one little pincushion, but better little than nothing, right?!

I usually make a more substantial gift each month... but January was just soooo hot!... so a small key ring was all I could manage! lol :)

Thank you so very much for taking the reins for CTTY this year! I participated last year, and it made all the difference. Your little mini quilt is darling - very pretty colors! Thank you too for the very generous giveaway. I had heard wonderful things about Aurifil thread and bought a spool - it is wonderful! It stitches so smoothly and allows the flattest seams! Good stuff!

Please let Beth know that I think her pillow is wonderful! The striped, candy cane fabric is perfect for the rework Santa. Looks so nice.
