Now about my project. Lately I've been on a scarf-making craze. These are some of the fabrics that I have had in my cabinets for a very long time. The intention was to make something out of them when I bought the materials. It's one of those things that I just didn't have time to follow through.
Since I had already cut the fabrics into large strips, I went ahead and made scarves out of them. It was super quick and easy, ok, not quite as easy as I thought regarding the braid. I had to ask our children to help me because they've done these kinds of braids/knots before. Once I saw how they did it, it was a breeze. This is not my own pattern. I've seen it all over the web and being a visual learner, I was able to whip it up quite fast. It took me 30 minutes at the most. Knit fabric is very forgiving so I didn't have to worry about making sure everything sews up just right.
I have a couple more scarves that I finished to give our DD for Christmas. I haven't taken a picture of them. I am going to try and get all the photos done in the next couple of days because after Jan. 1st my poor camera will be shipped out to get serviced :-(
I am not going to get it back for a few weeks. I can take pictures with my phone but it's just not the same.
Have a great weekend!
