Look what I found waiting for me in my mailbox? My swap partner Nancy made me this beautiful tote bag and some goodies to go with it. Thank you so much Nancy! I LOVE it.

Leftover Tablerunner

Quick post today since we are super busy.
I made this runner using the leftover pieces I cut off the Leftover quilt I made. I used up every bit of it. Talk about no scraps left. This pattern was a winner.

Patio Furniture

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We sure did.
A friend of mine asked me to make some new cushion and pillow covers for her patio furniture since she had a new patio cover installed and wanted everything to match. We went shopping and picked out the black and gold fabrics. I made a total of 10 cushions and 6 pillow covers. They can all be removed for washing. The black pillow cover with the gold strip does not have a pillow in it when I took the picture since we had to go find it, but just wanted to show what it looked like on both sides. Just a word of caution when choosing colors for your outdoor furniture....NEVER choose black and red. They fade quickly as we found out a couple of weeks later from the black and gold pillows.
Anyways...see the water? How would you like to be on your patio overlooking the water? Ok, I can dream :)

Between Charming Friends Quilt Along

Kelly gave us an extra week to finish our quilt for the Between Friends Quilt Along. I finally finished my quilt top. I love this pattern! Darlene designed this pattern and has instructions for two sizes. I chose the larger size. It turned out really big, but that was what I was aiming for. I used my scraps instead of the strips Darlene had in her instructions and it came together pretty quick, imagine if I actually followed the instructions how much faster it would have come together? When I finished the blocks I laid the pieces out so I wouldn't make a mistake sewing it together since it has set in triangles.

This is a close-up of the quilt top.
Here's the quilt top all done. I laid it outside to get a good picture but the wind just wouldn't stop blowing, but it will have to do. Lighting in my home is not the greatest for picture taking.
Can't wait to see the parade of quilts.

Between Friends Blocks

I made these blocks and had to scan them so they look kind of wonky. These blocks are a part of the CG's Between Friends Quilt Along which I am so behind because of other obligations. The pattern is by Darlene of Quilting Daze. I love the pattern because it's perfect for using up scraps that I have laying around. I am making the larger quilt size. I love large quilts even though it takes more time but my children love using them.
